"...it was over before it even began."
~ Fullview Please~. Okay, so I finally have a piece with some serious history behind it. This piece has been almost more trouble than it's worth; but trust me, with a final product like this, it was worth it. In short: This picture is so awesome, it caused my computer to crash. ...Okay, so not really. But my computer DID die halfway through this piece. I was terrified that I would lose it forever. Luckily I did, and I battled through the blood, sweat, and tears to get here now. I'm so proud of this piece. I did this for myself for my 20th birthday. I didn't know if I could pull it off. I'm amazed that I did. And I couldn't be happier. After everything; the computer crashing on my birthday, the hunt for Photoshop and a computer to work on it with, everything. I can't believe it. Here it is! I learned so much...about everything. Happy birthday to me. You all better fucking love it. <3 ~~ Wolverine (c) Marvel Comics Art (c) Comments
Bahahah! Pretty sweet! I really like the shadows/lighting.
And bloody claws.. yeah. >8D I hate it when computers crash in the middle of something like that. My new one doesn't do it, but back when I had to use the family computer - everytime I used photoshop it happened. Every. Freakin'. Time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! -- You smell like beef and cheese, you don't smell like Santa. ...
This... Is... SPECTACULAR!!! By far and wide, Lauren, I'd have to say that this is one of your best overall works, alongside a couple of others from your previous deviant ID. Where to begin with this? The chiaroscuro modeling is incredibly expressionistic, the detail you put into Logan himself is immaculate, and above all, you've got Wolvie's personality down pat without even needing the dialogue. In short, this is amazing, bub. ^^ And happy birthday! I hope you have a good one! -- "Sorry we didn't get there in time to prevent the murder of thousands, Commissioner Gordon; we were waiting for the car to spiral slowly out of the floor..." "Please! Do not encourage his monologuing!" ~Batman & Robin Rifftrax Wow! Them be muscles! hahaha. That's the first thing I noticed. I think you do muscle definition really well, as evident by this and other pieces. Love the coloring. The posture is just great.
The only thing I see that seems a little off is his feet. They seem a little small. However, that could easily be because his upper body is so ripped. I am a fan of Wolverine, so this is great! I am glad you were so persistent, and stuck with it even though so many catastrophes happened! :] AND HAPPY BIRFDAY! I said it already, but it's still true. Love his expression.
Also, happy birthday. -- Avatar by =Aphrael7 Yaaah, at least I drew it out free-hand though. And I have the original photo. So yes! That's all good and stuff. All is not lost.
I actually had to pause it because the day after I asked, I started working double overtime on two paintings for the end of the semester. And then the Wolverine picture hit when I got home and then my computer crashed. x3 Ahaha. Fun times. |
