When you’ve loved. When you’ve loved like nothing before, you begin to see things. You understand what you’re here for. You know why you have a purpose, and you can even understand the meaning of life.
But tread lightly. For no one can walk away from true love and live to tell the tale.
I love. I always will, no matter how far they may be. Nothing can stop love. Love knows no distance. They could live across the world, across the country, in the next state, across town, or they could be your next door neighbor.
Love is not unconditional. Love can be the ultimate form of loneliness. Love is when you help each other. When you are not you without who you love. Love is when you will drop anything in your life because you love. If a friend is about to die, and only you can save them, a best friend would do anything and let nothing stop you. Nothing conquers love, not even death. That is the purpose of heaven.
If a mother could rush into a burning building to save her baby, true love exists.
If three people could crumble under the World Trade Center and die holding hands, true love exists.
If someone could give a kidney to the one they love, true love exists.
People say that good things won’t last, and sometimes that’s true. Sometimes, maybe, they will never love you like you love them.
Never leave them. They are who you are. They are everything in your life. You may not understand it now, but if you truly love someone, they are more than a partner or best friend. They are you. You are them. People cannot live without themselves. Love someone like you’ve never loved before, and you will live like you’ve never lived before. With someone by your side.

Do you have a best friend? Boyfriend or girlfriend? Husband or wife?
Here’s a challenge. Do you love them? Bring them a present tomorrow. Kiss their cheek. Go to your closet and rummage through the old stuffed animals that used to mean something to you. Bake some cookies. Draw a picture. Print out a card from the internet. Write a letter. When they ask you what the present is for, tell them these things. Tell them that it was for nothing other than love. Tell them that life isn’t always easy. And when it gets hard, you promise that nothing could keep you from giving your shoulder or hand.
Never make them go through the pain of loss. Remind them everyday that you love them. You’re here for them. Because sometimes, no matter how much you love them, they will leave.
Give them all you are. And pray to God that they love you just as much.
You won’t be saving their life. You’ll be saving your own."
